Sometime in the early 1970s (probably 1971) whilst on holiday in Norfolk I went to Great Yarmouth to see the BAZIL BRUSH Show. At this show BAZIL BRUSH's side kick was MIKE YARWOOD who of course did his usual impressions.

Whilst I can not remember a lot about the show, I do remember that FREDDIE AND THE DREAMERS had a spot on the show in which they performed IF YOU GOTTA MAKE A FOOL OF SOMEBODY, I'M TELLING YOU NOW, DO THE FREDDIE, and my personal favourite YOU WERE MADE FOR ME.

The line-up for the band at the time was probably:-
  • FREDDIE GARRITY - Vocals
  • DEREK QUINN - Guitar and Harmonica
  • BERNIE DWYER - Drums
  • ROY CREWSDON - Guitar
  • PETE BIRRELL - Bass

They also had this silly spot where they darkened the stage so that they could show a film whilst FREDDIE AND THE DREAMERS could jump around on a bed, giving the illusion that they were driving a car in the film.
